OBJECTIVE
The Biotechnology program at the University of Technology is oriented towards research and application, with the following training objectives for Bachelor of Biotechnology graduates:
(i) Graduates possess the full mindset of an internationally minded scientist, have good management knowledge, the ability to conduct independent research, and the ability to grasp the development trends of the profession to contribute to the development of science and technology in the country, and to the overall development of society.
(ii) Possess strong research capabilities to effectively apply achievements in the fields of Agriculture, Biomedical Sciences, Environment, Aquaculture, Food Technology, and Data Science to contribute to improving the quality of human life;
(iii) Proficiency in English;
(iv) Possess professional ethics and skills to work in an international environment;
(v) Honest, persistent, lifelong learner, possessing political qualities, a high sense of discipline, and responsible to the country.

WORKING POSITION AFTER GRADUATION
Graduates with a bachelor’s degree in biotechnology can work in universities, research institutes/centers, manufacturing, trading, and service companies across agriculture, forestry, fisheries, medicine, and related fields. They can also teach at universities, colleges, and high schools, or establish their own businesses to produce and sell biotechnology products.
- Researchers at universities and research institutes/centers conduct research in the following areas:
- Agriculture & Forestry: Research on plant and animal breeding and disease screening.
- Medical and Biological Sciences: Research on biomaterials and recombinant protein technology for pharmaceuticals; analysis of big data to improve the effectiveness of disease prognosis/diagnosis.
- Basic science: Research on the genomes of species, research on gene expression, and genetics research.
- Environment: Research on the application of microorganisms in waste treatment, screening, detection, and assessment of product toxicity levels.
- Food: Research and application in food processing technology, post-harvest product preservation technology, and food quality management systems.
- Lecturers at universities, especially international universities.
- Principal researchers at hospitals.
- Working on international cooperation programs.
- Starting a business in Biotechnology.
- Sales staff and consultants at commercial and service units in the fields of agriculture, forestry, fisheries, medicine, etc.
- Continue your studies at higher levels, both domestically and internationally.
- Management staff at agencies related to Biology and Biotechnology.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

Students are responsible for making certain that their plan of study meets all degree and major requirements. To graduate from TTU University, all students must:
- In accordance with the Regulations on Undergraduate Training of Tan Tao University (issued under Decision No. 31/QD-TTU.21 dated June 30, 2021, by the Rector of Tan Tao University), students are considered and recognized for graduation by the University when they meet the following conditions:
- Accumulate sufficient course credits and complete all other required components as stipulated by the training program.
- The minimum cumulative GPA for the entire course must be 2.00.
- Meet the foreign language proficiency requirements as stipulated by the University.
- Complete the Physical Education (PE) and National Defense and Security (NDS) courses.
- I have a soft-skills certificate issued by the school.
- Meet the required number of hours of community service participation as stipulated.
- At the time of graduation, the applicant must not be under criminal investigation or currently under disciplinary action resulting in suspension from studies.
- Fulfill your obligations to the school.
- Register for graduation consideration as per regulations at the Training Management Department.
