Ms. Tô Thị Nhã Trầm graduated with a degree in Biotechnology from the University of Agriculture and Forestry of Ho Chi Minh City. She is a young scientist who has won numerous city-level and national-level scientific research awards, notably the First Prize in the Euréka Award (2007), the Golden Globe Award (2011), and the Lương Định Của Award (2013). During her 12 years of teaching at the university, Ms. Trầm has guided many student research groups to achieve high results, alongside making many positive contributions to the development of the Vietnamese youth movement, for which she received a Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training (2013). Since 2019, Ms. Tram has served as the General Director of Vietplants, a subsidiary of U&I Agriculture Joint Stock Company (Unifarm) – U&I Group, focusing on commercializing scientific research results, notably the UNI 126 banana variety resistant to Panama disease and the restoration of the MD2 pineapple variety for large-scale agricultural production.

Current research directions include:

(i) Plant tissue culture and micropropagation;

(ii) Plant physiology and plant stress biology, focusing on studying mechanisms of resistance to adverse conditions and pests;

(iii) Development, selection, and commercialization of high-value crop varieties based on science and biotechnology.

Ms. Tram To Thi Nha Tram participates in teaching and research at the Faculty of Biotechnology, Tan Tao University (TTU), with the orientation of connecting academic research, innovation, and commercialization of technology in the field of high-tech agriculture.
