On the morning of August 9, 2026, Tan Tao University (TTU) solemnly held its 2026 Graduation Ceremony under the theme “16 Years of Creating Knowledge – Steadfastly Entering the Future.” The event marked a key milestone for new doctors and graduates from the Faculties of Medicine, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Languages, and Business Administration.
Academic Milestones and Stories of Resilience
In 2026, TTU recognized 23 students graduating with Highest Honors (Xuất sắc) and 17 with Honors (Giỏi). Alongside achievements such as clinical internships in the United States, passing the USMLE Step 2, and winning top prizes at entrepreneurship competitions and hackathons, the School of Biotechnology also highlighted remarkable individual journeys:

Biotechnology Graduates: Honoring students Truong Mai Tam Nhu, Cao Ho Nguyen Hop, and Tetteh Abraham
- Tetteh Abraham’s Journey of Perseverance: Hailing from Ghana, Tetteh Abraham stands as an inspiring example of perseverance. He balanced studying with working to cover his expenses, resiliently overcoming the severe hardships of the COVID-19 pandemic to complete his degree.
Honoring Outstanding Individuals and Meaningful Scholarships
TTU President’s Honor Award: Presented to graduate Huynh Van Dong (Computer Science, Highest Honors)—co-author of a research paper published in the VNU Journal of Science, Top 3 finalist at the Vietnam Rust Hackathon 2024, and Top 3 at the Ancient8 Builder Jam 2025.
Dang Van Duoc Scholarship (Inaugural Launch): Graduate Nguyen Hoai Duy (Highest Honors) became the first recipient of this scholarship, recognized for his outstanding academic performance, determination to overcome poverty, and strong sense of responsibility toward the community.
Peter Singer’s Award ($1,000 USD): Awarded to students Nguyen Kim Phu and Doan Khanh Huyen to encourage their spirit of learning and scientific research.
Aspiration for Integration and Service
The ceremony welcomed leaders from Tay Ninh Province, Honorable Michael W. Michalak (former U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam), and TTU’s Board of Management (Dr. Nguyen Mai Lam, Prof. Dr. Thach Nguyen, and Dr. Ngo Quang Vinh). Commending TTU’s English-medium educational environment grounded in medical ethics and practical training, the delegates congratulated the new alumni. The ceremony concluded solemnly with the recitation of the Physician’s Oath, marking the graduates’ readiness to serve society.
