BIOTECHNOLOGY STUDENTS MAKE A MARK AT THE HUSS 2026 INTERNATIONAL HACKATHON FINALS
Concluding a series of academic activities and field surveys within the framework of HUSS Vietnam 2026, the Final Round and Award Ceremony of the HUSS 2026 International Hackathon took place at the Science, Technology and Innovation Center of Tay Ninh province. Throughout the program, Vietnamese and Korean students worked together in multinational teams, conducted field surveys at businesses, and developed ideas to address climate change, circular economy, renewable energy, and sustainable development. The projects were highly appreciated by the Judging Panel for their creativity, applicability, and practical value to the local area. Students from Tan Tao University have excellently won many awards at the competition:
01 Gold Award
Project on biodegradable agricultural mulch film from sugarcane bagasse, with the participation of Nguyen Dang My Giao (Faculty of Biotechnology) and Le Thi Doan Ngoc (Faculty of Information Technology).




02 Silver Awards
Projects on circular economy, optimizing agricultural value chains and byproduct processing technology, with the participation of Duong Cu Thoc (Faculty of Biotechnology) and Nguyen The Vinh (Faculty of Information Technology).
03 Bronze Awards
Projects on materials from corn byproducts, producing bioethanol from molasses and recycling old motorcycles to reduce emissions, with the participation of students Phan Thi Thuy Trang, Ngo Thi Tu Suong, Nguyen Thanh Bien, Nguyen Dang Thao Vy and Tu Huynh Minh Quang. These achievements are not only the result of effective research, innovation, and teamwork, but also demonstrate the international integration capacity of TTU students when studying, exchanging, and cooperating with Korean lecturers, experts, and students in a multicultural environment.




Outstanding Biotechnology Students from TTU Win Awards at the “Fusion Food Challenge 2026”
On the afternoon of May 26, 2026, the Fusion Food Concepts Challenge 2026 took place at RMIT University. After several rounds of competition, with participation from teams from many universities, the team of students from the Biotechnology Faculty of TTU, with the support and advice of the Research Management Department, successfully advanced to the final round. This is a platform for students to develop their professional knowledge, creative thinking, presentation skills, and ability to develop new ideas in the fields of food technology and restaurant operations.

Phan Thi Thuy Trang – F4sion Team (Biotechnology students from TTU)
Project: Sushi Bun Bo
Result: Second Prize
Sushi Bun Bo is a modern fusion culinary concept, inspired by the combination of traditional Hue beef noodle soup and Japanese sushi style. The project not only retains familiar, distinctive flavors but also creates a fresh, sophisticated, and highly creative culinary experience.

Nguyen Dang My Giao – Alchemix Team (TTU Biotechnology Students)
Project: Lamb Pie
Result: Third Prize
Lamb Pie is a culinary product combining the traditional Australian meat pie with the distinctive flavor of Vietnamese wine sauce. With the combination of lamb, red wine, and characteristic spices, the project offers a novel culinary experience, connecting the spirit of modern cuisine with familiar flavors.
This achievement is not only a source of pride for the students but also a testament to the dynamic, creative, and constantly striving spirit of TTU youth.
