Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanh-Danh Nguyen has been a researcher at the Institute of Advanced Technology, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) since 2005. He obtained his M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Science, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, in 2008. He earned his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Konkuk University, Republic of Korea, in 2016. His research focuses on the physical chemistry of natural products, the synthesis and applications of hybrid materials, and the development of smart sensors for detecting toxic compounds. He has authored and co-authored more than 70 SCI-E/Scopus-indexed journal articles and book chapters. Prof. Nguyen also serves as an academic and topical editor for several SCIE journals, including Polymers, PLOS ONE, and the Journal of Nanomaterials. Since 2016, he has been a visiting lecturer at the School of Biotechnology, Tan Tao University (TTU), where he teaches courses on fundamental chemistry, organic chemistry, and biomaterials.
